REHEARSAL AND WEDDING DAY COVERAGE

A skilled, highly trained videographer will always try to attend the rehearsal:

  • It enables them to see the physical set up of the ceremony site (so they can determine the best way to position themselves and their equipment).

  • It gives them the opportunity of meeting the officiant and discussing wedding details, and restrictions with them. (See: THE BRIDE'S AND GROOM'S RESPONSIBILITY.)

  • It gives them the opportunity of meeting the families and of knowing who's who.

    How Much Set-Up Time?

The videographer will arrive two hours ahead of the ceremony to set up--and stay until the end of the reception. (The amount of coverage, however, will depend on the "package" you reserve and your budget.)

NOTE: If you're being married in a place that schedules "back-to-back" ceremonies, your videographer may be limited to an hour or less of set-up time.

    Feed the Videographer

The wedding day is a long one, and the videographer's job a tough one. Imagine walking with a heavy camera on your shoulder for six to eight hours or longer--without a break?

At the same time your guests are eating, provide a "vendor meal" (normally sandwiches, chips, and soft drinks) for your videographer(s) and their assistant(s). It's important for them to have a break and get re-vitalized.
