Are You a Videographer? Sign Up HERE!

THE CONTRACT: MUST INCLUDE:

1. The date, time, and place of both the ceremony and reception.

2. The names of the videographer(s) shooting YOUR wedding.

3. The coverage that's included: ceremony and reception, for example. (The time the videographer will arrive at to set up for the ceremony, and when they will leave the reception.)

4. The videographer's back-up (which includes ALL equipment and color monitors--that must not be left in their cars!).

5. The specifics of the package: including number of videographers hired and tapes included, and when delivery can be expected. (Be sure the package you've purchased is specifically noted in the contract.)

6. The style of video that you want--and where you want the emphasis.

7. List the price, the cancellation policy, the deposit paid, and the balance due. List the acceptable form of payment. (Be sure to put all deposits, etc. on your credit card. You will be protected should the vendor go out of business.)

NOTE: All deposits should be refundable if the wedding is canceled within a reasonable amount of time before the affair (90 days or more)--or transferable if another affair is booked with the videographer within one year of the contract date. The deposit should also be refundable if the wedding is canceled and the videographer books another event, of the same or greater value, on your date. If this info is not in your contract, ADD IT!
