WHY VIDEO IS A CHALLENGING PROFESSION

What does it take to put a professional movie together? It requires an event, a terrific script, actors, director, lighting and audio technicians, and countless other professionals. And what's the common factor that ties it all together? The EDITING. It makes or breaks the movie.

How does a professional movie differ from your video? Your videographer must also be a highly skilled, trained cameraman, and a lighting and sound expert. He must "script" the event as he goes--making sure that all important events are covered; he must miss nothing! And he must also be an expert editor--cutting and pasting hours and hours of raw tape into one succinct, entertaining, two-hour movie that you will love and enjoy for the rest of your lives.

Making your wedding video is just like making a CLASSIC msovie. The only difference? There's only ONE (or two) videographers shooting your wedding!

NOTE: Many top videographers are now questioning the status quo. Is two hours too long for a video? Many think it is, and the proof of the pudding is the "short-form edit" that was the talk of WEVA EXPO '99 (the videographers' convention, held in Las Vegas last August).

You should be aware that a good editor can easily condense hours of raw tape into one fast-paced, scintillating video that everyone will WANT to watch (60 minutes or less). And don't be concerned about those hours of raw footage that you don't see. The videographer, who does a short-form edit, will be glad to give it to you--ALL of it!
