Your Big Day!!!
The Final Countdown Check-list

Five days before your wedding call the following people and check off this list to verify the arrangements. This includes the date, place and time service personnel should be at your wedding and reception, or have their goods delivered. Speak with the person who's in charge of your wedding arrangements, no one else. Verify the date and times of your wedding and reception, and delivery times with the following people:

The officiant of your ceremony.

The organist or choir director, or any musicians you plan on for your ceremony. The entertainment for the reception.

The catering director, caterer or manager of your reception place. The party rental store, if applicable.

The bakery or supermarket preparing your cake. If a supermarket is preparing your cake, give them another call the day before.

The bridal shop - if you haven't already picked up your wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. Make sure everything is ready.

The formal-wear shop - verify everything on the order from sizes, to colors, to the number of suits being made available and all accessory items that are to accompany the suits. Confirm the date and time for pick up and a final fitting.

The photographer and videographer.

The florist.

The hairdresser, makeup artist, the nail technician.

The limousine company - also as an added precaution, call them the day before. Also verify pick up locations.

Check with the travel agent to make sure that all honeymoon plans are in order. If you made the plans, verify them and check all travel documents - tickets, passports, visas, etc.

Do you have contracts or receipts from all service personnel employed and from management at the places reserved for your ceremony and reception? Do the contracts or receipts specify the correct date, time and place of your ceremony and reception? Are all costs included - less deposits? Do you have cash, certified checks or money orders to pay the balance due?

Have you picked up your wedding rings?

And finally, do you have a valid marriage license?

It's the week before your wedding day. You've taken care of all details, and hired the best service people possible. Now relax, enjoy your families (who are starting to come in from out of town), have fun with your friends, and be particularly patient with your fiancé - he's stressed, too!. Relax the day before and have fun with your fiance and families.
