Part III: Make-up
Introduction
Times have changed and so has make-up. The days of using foundation to change skin color are over. The natural approach is what's in and that's what I'm going to stress here. I'm going to teach you how to enhance your best features and bring your natural beauty forward. Your features make you, you! You must learn to use them to your best advantage. Because we are focusing on wedding day make-up, there are some basic rules to follow that would not necessarily be applied to everyday use. We are not going to use any products that shimmer or shine (they don't photograph well), and we are not going to use colors that draw attention to themselves, green or blue for eyes, for example, or bright orange or red for lips.
Before You Begin:
Your skin should be clean before applying make-up. Assuming you cleanse your face at night, you'll only need to splash it with water and/or toner before beginning. (Those with oily skin should cleanse it and follow the tips under Oily Skin: How To Care For It.) Then apply moisturizer while the skin is still damp to allow it to seal in moisture. Let dry naturally. (Do not apply moisturizer to eyelids.)
